In a DC death certificate from 1933, the address of the deceased is listed as "Park Central." I cannot find such a street, avenue, or road in the District. Could this have been the name of a former apartment building, or of a street that had a name change, at some point? Bob Thompson Harrisburg, PA

Dear Susan, A search on Google.com for Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Washington, DC finds many sites but no list of individuals buried there. We have Washington, DC Shoemaker's in my direct line but I don't know Margaret SHOEMAKER LOVELESS. Maybe you would like to compare notes if your Shoemaker's were originally from the German principalities and came to DC from Montgomery Co, PA and/or Montgomery Co, MD. Please do contact me if so. Perhaps this one of the sites found at Google.com would be of assistance. Cemetery Registration-District of Columbia ... Address it to: Mr. M. Warren Mt. Olivet Cemetery 1300 Bladensburg Rd., NE. I'm trying to help Sister Miriam John, a Carmelite nun at LaPlata. She tells me there was an article recently about Ann Mattingly of the "miracle" and the article states that John Mattingly, husband of Ann, died a few months before she did. Ann died in March, 1824. I have the National Intelligencer Abstracts from 1800-1839 except two volumes that are out of print--guess which one I don't have! I have 1823 and have checked that--no luck. So, it should be found early in 1824. Do you know anyone who may have these books that could do a look-up? I didn't see anyone on the D.C. page. Have a good Christmas? I'm looking for the burial site for a GEORGE BYNG, died in 1847. I have eliminated Oak Hill. Other relatives are there but not George. He might have been Catholic (was raised by a Catholic mother), but he married Celinda Cook Holzman, who was most likely Lutheran. I'm making assumptiions all over the place, but I cannt find GEORGE. Many thanks and Happy Holidays! Caroline Byng Whidbey Island, WA
