Pl3ease excuse my post on Bedford Co., PA... That was meant ot be a reply to a fellow researcher for family research in that area.. VERY sorry I replied to the wrong message in my inbox. They were adjacent.. Joe [email protected]
Maryland is at its thinist at the town of Hancock which is mid way between hagerstown and Cumberland. Thee it is just a few miles thick. At Cumberland it is about 25 miles thick... about 20 miles from the Potomac River (border between West VA and MD there and Cumberland, another 5 miles or so norht of Cumberland to reach Bedford Co., PA Cumberland is in Allegheney co., MD. Garrett co. is directly west of Allegheney co. and is the westernmost MD County. West of Garrett co., MD the state of Maryland does not exist meaning West Virginia touches Pennsylvania there. Ohio Co., WV in the little ledge of WV that sticks up to PA just west of Garrett co... was one of the original VA Counties to go to WV when WV was first created. can't find any Livingsotns there though at least so far... Like I said bedford Co., PA has a lot of Livingsotns early on but all dissapear by the mid 1800's Need to find out when it was created and out of what parent Counties.. Joe

The dealine for getting your money in for the reunion is rapidly arriving. April 15th for money, April 24th for reunion. Plenty of parking and room to spread out with your family, pictures, and memorabilia. ANNOUCEMENT: We now have charts covering EVERYONE that Kitty has in her database. The chart from last year has not, however, been updated so the new people Kitty has added to her own line will be covered in a listing. The new charts add up to about 220' (yes, that is feet) of charts. Adding that to the 30 feet of the Thomas M. Norwood chart, we now have charts totaling 250'. We have also put together a listing of everyone's name with on what chart(s) they appear. Because of how the charts needed to be created (there is a 30' limit per chart) this could mean a group could appear on more than one chart. If, however, a person is related twice to the same chart group, they will appear on that chart once with full information and the other times with just their name and the note "This is a duplicate person". If you see this look for them on the same chart again closer to the top. Come spend some time finding your ancestors and YOURSELF. If you are not there or your information is wrong, then you haven't sent it to Kitty (or she has made a mistake--NO, can't be that). Don't forget to bring pictures and other family information to share and scan. Let's get this right. Now, Kitty--About who you have as the children for Nehemia Moxley and Elizabeth Norwood---hmmmmmmm. ================================================ COME EARLY DOORS OPEN AT 2:00 PM There will be refreshments before dinner. From "Guide to the Records of your District of Columbia Ancestors" by Eleanor M. V. Cook: "E street Baptist Church, located on E Street between Sixth and Seventh Streets, NW, was organized in 1842 and a church erected in 1843. A new church was dedicated at Tenth and N Streets, NW, in 1902 and the church, now the Temple Baptist Church, is presently located on Nebraska Avenue, off Ward Circle. This reunion is different than any other reunion I attend. We are both family and genealogy oriented. Some people come just to hook up with other relatives with the same interests. I am a Norwood, Watkins, Claggett, Moxley, Mullinix, Beall, Lewis, Shipley, Barnes, and several others. I have met relatives from each of these familes at the reunion. Last year I met a 3rd Cousin from my Watkins family. The next day I was at his house sharing more information. This is a fun reunion without games or auctions. Just good talk and information sharing. We will have Doris Day, a Norwood Cousin, doing a spinning demonstration. SUNDAY APRIL 24th 7th ANNUAL NORWOOD REUNION Surname list in order of frequency count. Our Norwood genealogists have added thousands of names and information since last year.
