    3. I can't find a Mary Donovan in DC, born 1860-61. Found her in CA 1900 married to Frank Raymond with 2 sons, Joseph and Francis. The 1920 Sausalito, CA census shows her born Aug. 1861 in DC, a widow and son Frank living with her. She says her parents were born in Ireland. In 1900, Frank's father, Joseph Raymond is living next door. Do you have info on him? If you could get Mary's death certificate it should name her parents. 3. Juanita, Yes I do have her death certificate only list her father's last name Donovan born in Ireland and Unknown on her mother (born in Ireland also). Mary C.Donovan was born in Washington D.C. and lived in California 68years, age at death 75 which would make her 7 before coming to California. How strange not to find a birth record or even a census with her parent's. Joseph was my Grandfather but I know little about him, seems know one wanted to talk about the ancestor's, I do know they were all Catholic. How would I find her birth certificate or record? 1. Fred A. & Ruth M. Boswell Descendants
    2. William Boswell
    3. Hi: I am looking to either connect with persons related to the below or have information on: Fred A. Boswell, born Nov 20, 1913 in Washington, DC; died Jan 22, 2004 in Beaver Falls, PA. His wife, Ruth Mildred (Fogelgren) Boswell died Dec 23, 2002 in Bedford, VA. Fred Arthur Boswell was the son of Henry Franklin Boswell and Daisy {Basford) Boswell of Washington, DC. They are both buried at Congressional Cemetery in Washington, DC. I have the cemetery records and grave photos for them as well as a number of Fred Boswell's brothers and sisters, but have no idea where Fred and his wife are buried. I am interested in finding more information regarding George Henry Boswell (Fred A. Boswell's grandfather), born Nov 25, 1838 in Maryland; died Jan 31, 1911 in DC. The National Archives claims they don't have a record for him even though Civil War records show he served. I've also located Fred Boswell's sister (I think), Bessie Boswell, who supposedly died Feb 28, 1997 in Frederick, Maryland, but I can't find an obituary for her. It appears Bessie may have also lived with Fred Boswell in Lottsburg, Virginia from Dec 1995 until her death. One record shows she may still be alive (100 years old) and still living in Frederick, MD. It is my understanding that a son of Fred A. Boswell's, William, lives (or lived) in the Beaver County, PA area. I would like to find out if anyone is researching this family since I have been unsuccessful in locating them in the DC area. George Henry Boswell was my great-great grand uncle and his brother Ignatius Mathew Boswell is my direct connection. I am willing to trade information since I have a lot for my direct lines, but am lacking for the above families. I am especially interested if someone has photographs of any of these people. I appreciate any responses or help. Thank you. William H. Boswell Pittsburgh, PA http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~wboswell/index.html

    3. Pam: Starting with this page (http://www.godfreylibrary.org/), click on the second item on the left side of the screen (Portal). You will either have to log in or enter your code. Click on the very first item at the top left of the screen (A - FindUSA), then click on the sub-item FindUSA. If you are using a firewall, you'll have to disable it temporarily before clicking on FindUSA. I have trouble entering it if my firewall is active. Under "Available Databases:" it shows FindUSA Locate Hard To Find People. Click on that. Once the window opens with the Person Search tab, you can re-enable your firewall. I wish they'd fix this since I hate disabling the firewall. You can search for people, property, civil searches, and corporations. I'm not sure how far back it goes, but I heard something on the Godfrey list that the people searches only go back about 20 years. I'm not sure about the property since I have only used that section a couple of times for more recent searches. 3. Hi List, I am also interested in finding the 'owner history' of a particular residence in DC. My father (age 89, graduate of Eastern High School in the 30s) has an artifact from a house that was razed to build the Supreme Court building. He wants to find out who owned the house around 1910. If anyone can help me (for free) I would be most grateful. I have the address & will provide it to anyone who responds. Thank you in advance.
