I do not have his actual birth certificate, but can get a death cert. Do you think we can trace from that? I was told that either his dad or his grandfather ran away from home because it was a house full of women. But this is just a story. I know that they lived in Duval Washington for a while.

Hi there, Mary Lou here. I grew up in Duvall, Washington......my husband did as well. I have been reading your emails and when I read you mention Duvall, I went to ask my husband if he heard the Skitrall....he did! I will be typing up an article from the DUVALL CITIZEN newspaper clipping he happens to have. He is quite the Historian when it comes to Duvall and the railroad! His Grandmother was Nellie (Thayer) Miller who came to Duvall in 1902, I believe. She was telling Allen, my hubby, about this fire at their house. It was the worst fire disaster in the town. I will send this, and then hand type the article, as written from the Clipping from 23 July 1915.
