My Mackay family was born in Ontario, Canada. My great, great grandfather died in Seattle area in 1907, and was in the 1900 Chicago Census. I don't have the names of his children with me right now. Otherwise, you put the researcher at much extra work, and you receive a lot of worthless information. There are 37 Mackay's in Washington, mostly in Seattle, in the 1910 census. There are 131 in the Washington Death Index between 1940-1996. The WA State Birth Index has 37 Mackay births listed. The Soldiers of WW I identifies a Lieutenant William R. MacKay.
