I wonder if you know this. A new birth certificate is issued to the new adoptive parents. BUT; The child or baby's name is the only thing changed as well as the new parents name is on it. ALL the other information such as birth date, time, place, town, etc. remain the same as the original birth certificate. So that does give you some info in case you don't know it. Sometimes, not always, you can check a newspaper for births in the area in same towns from same hospital and may get something that matches. That is if the mother retains the baby after birth and or the parents are still married. Also then you can take the names suspected you find and check the City Directories in the town and also the surrounding area as may not been a hosp. in the smaller town they lived in. There are many more things you can do but each case can be different so a searcher or helper needs to know all pertinent facts to know where and what should be the easiest things to do first and in order. So even tho you were b in Seattle, Wa. your mother or parents could have lived in any of the suburbs surrounding there as same with other's.
