I'm sure you have the spelling of the last name correct, but I also looked for Hammonds and Hammon. I don't know if you're family or not, or if you have done any of the following or not, but I'd suggest: > Identify the family members of both parents. It appears Sherry was born in Oregon. I found a Harlan Blane Hammons, age 30 at death in a cemetery in Harney County, OR. I don't know if this is him or not. But, if his family is unknown, Harlan's obituary should be checked to find his family members and if any were in Wenatchee. Or, if any of his family may know the circumstances of the adoption. I'm sure Larry and Jerry have been asked detailed questions, or are part of the search effort. Was Edna in Wenatchee at the time? If so, why? And, did she live with family? Is it possible she knew the family adopting? There is a Q. Hammons residing in Wenatchee today, is this a possible relative? If the adoption was set up by the court, are the records frozen or can someone obtain them? If Edna and family were living in Oregon, how did a family in Wenatchee obtain the adoption. Is there any indication that Edna was in contact with Sherry over the years? Christmas c! a! > rds, etc. Is one of Edna's old address books still available to search? Did Larry or Jerry ever have contact with her over the years? If the adopted family remained in Wenatchee, then school books could be reviewed for any Sherry's of the right age. If 9 in 1952, she would have been graduating from high school circa 1961. Then through county records identify who she married and make contacts. Someone residing in Wenatchee could check the school books and county recorder documents. Anyway, good luck. > > > > > -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
