Another undated clipping from the Spokane Spokesman Review about 1925. Clipping also includes individual pictures of Mr. And Mrs. Doerr. I have a few more photographs of these people, even though they are not related to me. "Two Score Years of Happiness" Mr. And Mrs. Doerr Celebrate Fortieth Anniversary―Here 27 Years Mr. And Mrs. Rudolph Doerr, Jefferson apartments, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Sunday at the home of the son-in-law and daughter, Mr. And Mrs. E.A. Egge. Mr. And Mrs. Doerr, who have been residents of Spokane for 27 years, were married February 15, 1885 at New York city and went to Germany, their native country, on a honeymoon. "The joys of married life far out-balance the troubles in lthis everyday span of life," said Mr. Doerr, who was one of the pioneer electrical contractors in Spokane."I want to work as long as I’m able, for there is mischief sometimes for idle hands, but this is not so pronounced in those who have passed the 60-year mark as it is among younger people." Mrs. Doerr is shown holding a granddaughter, Betty Jane Egge, age 1 year, whose birthday is also February 15.
