Hi, folks - I'm the new list admin and I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Shirley and I'm a lifelong resident of Western Washington. I'm actually from Cowlitz County; my family has lived there since 1912. I presently live near Olympia. I have had lists on Rootsweb for several years and enjoy them very much. I occasionally travel and take the laptop along. On those trips, I've had wonderful experiences of actually meeting list members in various locations and put faces to names and screen names. Some very good personal friendships have resulted. One of my lists had a get-together a few years ago where we all met at a restaurant. That was a lot of fun and I hope to plan something similar this summer, inviting everyone from all my lists. I've found that a few folks like to travel to them. You will find that I'm fair but firm when I need to be. One thing I have changed is the list prepend. I've shortened it to WA-L to conserve space, especially for digest members. If you have a mail filter for the list name, you'll want to note this change. I'm excited to take the reins of the list and look forward to being a very involved list hostess.
