Her father William was a blacksmith living at r 5016 > S Puget Sound Ave. Gertrude passed away in April of 1967. 1920 Census: Those born in Kentucky, living in Steilacoom, Pierce County, was Thomas R Moore, born circa 1861, living with Joseph Jackson and his wife Ethel. Also living there was a Caroline Morris, dau of Thomas R. and sister to Ethel. Also from Kentucky was a James H. Moore 65. A Thomas Moore, 18, living in Alder, Pierce Co, with a Joe Smith 35, Moore identified as "partner". Moore was born in Washington to a father from Kentucky, mother born in Texas. Both Smith and Moore were Loggers in a saw mill. Census enumerated 23 January 1920. 1930 Census: Thomas Moore, 27, living in McKenna, Pierce Co, WA, born to father from Kentucky, mother from Texas, married at 21 to Edna B, age 25, married at 19. Edna born in Montana to father born in New York, mother born in Utah. Children were Lorrane A 7, Loren K 5 11/12, Francis J (daughter) 4 4/12, Edward T 2 9/12, Robert P 1 6/12 and Richard G 1/12. Thomas was a welder in a machine shop. Census enumerated April 21, 1930. 1910 Census: Thomas Moore, 8, living in Yelm, Thurston County, WA, was living in the home of Harry P. Hansen 36, born in Denmark, married the second time for 3/12 of a year to Louisa 36, born in England. Louisa had 4 children of which 4 were living. Harry immigrated in 1900, Louisa 1908 Also living in the house were: Carl, brother of Harry age 38, born in Denmark, immigrated 1890, ship captain Tammy, 17, daughter of Louisa, born in England, imm 1908 Bertha Henstone 14, daughter, born in England, imm 1908 Henry K Henstone 12, son, born in England, imm 1908 Mary, 10, dau, born in England, imm 1908 Thomas Moore, shown as "Son of William T. Moore", born in WA. Re: William T. Moore In the 1910/1920 census' living in Pierce County, was a William T. Moore, married to Elizabeth, they had a number of children, he was born circa 1873 in Minnesota. They were living on 40th Street in Tacoma. They did have a daughter "Jennie" that was 10, A daughter Marcy C 6. in the 1910 census. In the 1930 census, the had a son 5. He is probably the wrong person, but including for elimination purpose. The Washington Birth Index online records started with 1907 Washington Death Index shows Thomas R Moore, death 28 June 1951 WA D. I. shows a William T Moore, death 1 Jan 1943 in Tacoma, age 80; the William T above born in Minnesota would have been of that age. WA D. I. shows a Daisy G Moore, death 24 May 1968 in Snohomish, a Daisy V. Moore death 8 Jun 1975 in Seattle at age 72-probably not the right Daisy if married to W.T. Found no Lulu Edge, one Luella Hogan, married to William, born in Nebraska, age 50 in the 1930 census, living in Spokane. The Tacoma Library has a database of obits http://search.tpl.lib.wa.us/obits/ A Thomas R. Moore, date of death 28 June 1951, obit on page A-2, 30 June 1951. A bunch of Williams, one William T, death 1 Jan 1943, obit page 12 on 3 Jan 1943. A Gertrude L Hogan, just a death notice, no obit, 16 November 2000.
