I am interested in finding information about my great grandfather, John Skelley and his wife Mary Jane Newton Skelley. They had 11 children (Newton Skelley, Nettie Skelley Elliott, Ruth Skelley Kemp, Laura Skelley, Albert Skelley, Edna Skelley Elliott, Kate Skelley Taylor, Claude Skelley, Bernard Skelley, Cynthia Skelley Sinnett, and Irene Skelley Courtney). My grandmother was Ruth. John Skelley was born to Bernard and Ann Skelly (the second "e" is dropped) on July 18, 1844 in Boston or Cambridge, Massachusetts. He lived in Wisconsin where he bought land until about the mid to late 1890s and then moved to Washington state where he died in 1911. They lived mainly around the Olalla area.
