Hello all, I ran into Doc Schneider in Genealogy chat last evening and we had a great talk back and forth. I happened to mention that Washington was still waiting for its Archives search engine on his mirror site at dsenter.com. He excused himself for a few minutes, then came back and proudly informed me that the Washington search engine had just been made operational. I was too tired last night to check but sure enough it is humming along there today. The search engine for the Washington Archives is at http://www.usgenweb.com/archives/waindex.html and if you want other states (not all yet) go to http://www.usgenweb.com/archives County coordinators, I strongly urge you to put up a link to the WA search engine on your pages, as well as a link to the Archives themselves for those few counties that have not yet done so.
