Hi! I have two questions for all of you. The first one is probably real simple. DOes a birth index or anything exist for Washington at the FHC coveribg the 1920's &1930's? Second is a request for everyone's opinion. Recently my research took me to Washington and my Greatgrandmothers brother Edward HARSOn who live in Aberdeen, I have found his death certificate, his mortuary and his obit along with the mortuary record of his wife Susanna and her obit. Several of these sources list PHYLLIS COMENOUT (of Taholah) as their Granddaughter. I have Phyllis's mortuary record and a family tree from the Confederate Tribes of Siletz Indians. My problem is her parents are lists as Maxwell Collins and Kathleen Dick on one source and Zelda Dick on another source, neither parent is a HARSON. I am sure this is the correct woman because the number of greatchildren even matchs the number of children she had and my understanding is that Taholah is not that large so there should not be multiple people with the same name. I am waiting for Phylliss's birth record to come from Oregon but I guess I am a little impatient. If the birth record still don't give me the Harson name what should I try next? How can I find the person that links my Edward and Susanna to this person Phyllis Comenout listed as their granddaughter. The family tree I recieved form the Confederation lists only her mothers name with no grandparents and then lists her father line further back. I suspect that the mother is the daughter of one of my Harson's either from a possible first marriage of Susanna or perhaps the name Dick is not a maiden name but a second marriage name. Any help? ANy suggestions? Judi
