Hi Don, I live in Seattle and do alot of genealogical research. You have to go to the Seattle Public Library for one! They have a great genealogy section on the first floor and they do have the old phone books in there. The address is 1000 4th Avenue (4th and Madison). Their phone number is 206-386-4636. The King County Courthouse also on 4th Avenue downtown has birth certificates for all people born in King County since 1890 and all other Washington Counties since 1950.
