Your Bygdebok indicates his birth in 1880, the census has 1889. The Bygdebok are known to have errors, but the census has them also. You may ultimately need to review the parish records for Rennebu. I will post your inquiry on the Norway list to see if I can get some info from Norwegian posters. I will look in the digitalarkivet in the emigrant protocols to see if I can find him departing Norway. I did find a Lars Mikkleborg, born 14 June 1889, departing for New York in 1926. If this is the right person, your Lars may have visited Norway in 1926. I'll do more on this person also. Ron
