    3. Hooray for Alta Vista Search Engine! I don't know if there may have been more than one lynching, but the Vinson Lynching in Ellensburg involved two men at an early morning hour and they weren't removed for 5 hours during which time a child on her way to school (not Sunday School as it was midweek) could have seen the sight. It was 1895--I was guessing my grandma's age from how her story is written, and it was for murder, not rustling as she recalls, but considering the hoopla surrounding this incident and no other I found mentioned (other than 1865), I am betting this is it.
