    3. I'm looking for information on Thomas and Hannah Isabel DAWSON and their descendants (and if possible something about their ancestors). I'm not 100% sure where they were from, but Thomas MAY be from Ohio, and Hannah MAY be from New York. There may have been a SCHUYLER in one of their ancestries, also (I think SCHUYLER may be Hannah's maiden name, but I don't know for sure). Thomas was mentioned in the biography about Henry R. WATSON in the reprint of "History of Whatcom County" on pg. 417, but in the reprint most of what was said about Thomas was obliterated by a reprint of a line above it. It reads: "In 1891, the year after his arrival here, Mr. WATSON was united in marriage to Miss Mary DAWSON, who had come here with her parents, Thomas and Hannah DAWSON, from Iowa in 1889, the Dawsons thus becoming numbered among the pioneers of Whatcom county. Thomas [Dawson, who had come here with her parents, Thomas and Hannah Dawson from Iowa]" Does anyone have the original "History of Whatcom County"? Does it also have this misprint, or does it tell more about Thomas DAWSON??? Hannah Isabel was born about 1842, she died on 6 August 1901 at the age of 59 and is buried in Bayview Cemetery in Bellingham. She was living with her son "Schuyler" (believed to be Thomas S. DAWSON who later moved to Okanogan, Washington) at 706 17th Street. There is no mention of Thomas DAWSON, Sr. in her obituary. I know of three children who were born to Thomas and Hannah. They are: Arminta Mary (or Mary Arminta) DAWSON. Born in Nov 1866 in W. Branch, Cedar Co., IA. She married Henry Robinson WATSON in 1891 in Bellingham, WA. He owned the Old Whatcom Transfer Co. She and Henry were living at 1210 C Street when she died on 21 Feb 1938 in Bellingham. They are buried in Bayview Cemetery, also. These are my gr-gr grandparents. They had four children who lived to adulthood: Arthur Schuyler WATSON, Mary Inez "Inez" WATSON BELL, Clara Isabel WATSON JOHNSON, and Henry Edmund "Ebby" WATSON. I believe Arthur is buried in Seattle and Ebby buried in Seattle or Mukilteo somewhere. Clara is buried in Aberdeen, WA and Inez is buried in Alaska or somewhere in Washington, but I'm not sure where. Viola Mae DAWSON was born in 1869 in Iowa or Nebraska (I can't find her obit at this time). She married William H. BURGESS in Bellingham and is buried with him at Greenacres Memorial Park Bellingham. The only children I know of are the ones who survived William: Lucile BURGESS ANDREEN, Thelma BURGESS DEETER and Clarence BURGESS, all of Bellingham. Viola and William were living at 1708 King Street in Bellingham when William died. Viola survived him. Thomas Schuyler DAWSON was born in Dec 1874 in Jones Co., Iowa. He married twice in Bellingham: the first time in 1895 to a Miss Ella PARKER. She died in 1898. He remarried in 1900 to Miss Etta DOWNS. She died in 1937. Thomas had three children who survived him: George B. DAWSON of San Francisco; Geraldine B. DAWSON CARLSON of Palo Alto, California; and Mrs. John E. WILKINSON or WILKISON with whom he was living when he died at 639 N. Miller Street in Wenatchee, WA. In Thomas' obituary it mentions that the DAWSON family went from Iowa to California in 1887 or 1888, before they moved to Whatcom County, Washington. If anyone knows more information about this family, I'd love to hear from them! Thank you! Brenda Hbert
