The State only has records from 1907, prior to that time you will need to contact the County. Address your request to the County Auditor, __________Court House, City, State & zip code. There are places on the 'net with the costs, addresses, etc., if you need that information I can look it up, but it's locked away on my other hard drive, waiting for me change it over I guess. I got a transcribed copy of my gg grandfather's death certificate from the Pierce Co. Courthouse (he died in 1894) fairly easily, by going in person when we happened to be there.
