I am searching for McHUGH's who originated in Ireland and immigrated to Sauk Co., Wisconsin and ended up in Washington state. The family I am particularly interested in is the children of Frank McHUGH and Mary MURPHY as they supposedly settled in Washington state. Catherine McHUGH: Born abt 1810 in Ireland Died 11-17-1904 in Dellona Township, Sauk Co., Wisconsin Married James GALLAGHER: Born abt 1801 in Ireland Died February, 1879 in Dellona Township, Sauk Co., Wisconsin They had 11 children Have much more info on them. The following are Catherine's siblings: James McHUGH: Born 1820 in Ireland Died 1890 Married Honora HICKEY They had 5 children, one of them was named Delia. She had a daughter Bonnie who lived in Baraboo, Wisconsin. James' 2nd wife: Mrs. BARRETT They had one child, Dr. James McHUGH who is buried at Fort Wayne, Indiana. Frank McHUGH: Born 1822 in Ireland Died in 1883. Married Mary MURPHY in 1858. Mary was born in Lancashire, England in 1833. They had 11 children. One child was named John and one daughter named Hattie. Mary and Hattie died in Superior, WI and were buried in All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Dellona, along with Frank and John. The rest of their children were buried in the state of Washington. Peter McHUGH: Born 1829 in Ireland. Died 1915 in Elroy, Wisconsin and buried in All Saints Catholic Cemetery. Came to US in 1883 after the death of his wife in Ireland. They had 5 children, one named Michael and one named Bridget (Siss). Michael came to US alone in 1881. Bridget never married. She lived with her niece, Miss Winifred Kelly on 10th Avenue So., in Minneapolis, MN. Catherine supposedly had another sister, but I have no information on her.
