My ancestor from Eng, WILLIAM CARMICHAEL,brought his wife ANN, and two children to WASHINGTON in 1829, Nov. or Dec. I have an old letter he wrote back to his mother, dated Jan. 5,1830, GEORGETOWN, Washington,DC. He departed from LIVERPOOL,ENG. Trip took 8 weeks on ship, BOSTON. Please help if you can.
