She was 64. Born July 25, 1938, to Geraldine and Harvey English in Washington, she was the oldest of three children. The family moved to Davis in 1947, and she graduated from Davis High School in 1956. She met her husband, Charles Rosson, while attending UC Davis. They were married Oct. 4, 1958, in Davis. Their first child was born a year later. They spent the next 10 years in San Francisco, where a daughter and son were born. The family moved to Yuba City in 1970, so Charles could begin his medical practice. She devoted her life to her family. Her interests included playing the piano, reading and sewing. She also enjoyed snow skiing, water skiing and ice skating with her children. She and her daughter were members of a precision ice skating team in Marysville called the Featherettes for several years, competing across Northern California and performing in local ice shows. Carol later moved to Sacramento, where she earned a bachelor's degree from Cal State Sacramento in 1989. Over the past 10 years, she became increasingly interested in her artwork. In 1997 she and her sister presented their collages together in Davis in a show called "Sisters." Carol was also a volunteer at the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento for several years. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren, who called her "Nana," and looked forward to family gatherings, especially birthdays. She was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Claire English, in 1986. She is survived by sons Mark Rosson and his wife Trudi, and Michael Rosson and his wife Cari, all of Roseville, daughter Belinda Kesser and her husband Keith of Davis, grandchildren Chase, Tanner and Haleigh Rosson of Roseville and Merek and Quinn Kesser of Davis, father William Harley English of Davis, sister Janet English of Davis and brother Bill English of Ukiah. She is also survived by niece Jana Roche, her husband Mike and their children, Maren and Max, of Santa Rosa, niece Kirsten Buckendorf of Seattle and nephew Theo Buckenodorf and his wife Kirsten of West Sacramento.
