The original message was posted to the message boards at ANCESTRY.com... Any messages posted to the message boards are automatically forwarded/gatewayed to a related mailing list. The mailing list hostess doesn't see those messages forwarded from the message boards and there is no way to stop them as the message boards and mailing lists are hosted by Ancestry.com I know it's annoying to get "stupid" commercial messages from a genealogy site and I guarantee that Ancestry and it's parent company hates it...
