    3. Hello all: I know that my great uncle, Henry Byron TEGG and wife, Ethel BELL had two children both born in Washington, son Phillip b 1918 and Jean b 1920. I do not know where in Washington they were born. Would someone please advise me as to where I should start looking to find the information on what town they were born in. Thank you, Jenny Bakken

    3. I would start with the 1920 census index. Also the LDS probably has birth records,so they should give you a location. Do you have any additional information? DOB of Henry and Ethel. Did they immigrate to the US? If so, when, from where? Bakken appears to be of Norwegian extract? or at least Scandinavian. Tegg also appears to be so. Do you have any clues that might identify their location? Ron

    3. Jenny, If you have access to a Family History Center you could order the films for the WA state birth index for those years. That would tell you what location they were born in and you could then order the appropriate film for the birth certificate. I don't know if this index is available from another source or not. Hope this helps.
