Listers: Let's beat this dead horse to death one last time. It's not my fault that there was no TV in the 1800's, or that my ancestors had so many children. And many of them are related to YOU! I will continue to post these updates until the day I drop dead. And I will prepare a message for Rachel to send to you when that happens. I've added given names to the index, and will begin to add links to every name listed to my GEDCOM on RootsWeb. I may add an index to every name on the web page. Why am I doing this? BECAUSE I CAN! Did you know that because I spelled "Hiram" as "Riram" in one of my FTM entries I smoked out his great granddaughter, who is related to my gr gr gr grandfather William Simpson? He crossed the OT in 1846. And let's not forget the Kimsey sons-in-laws that were with them. And the kids. Let me explain one thing, The entry page to MY OREGON TRAIL FAMILIES is: http://freepages.history.rootsweb.com/~cchouk/oregon_trail/ becaue this page has a "hit counter", and explains what the next page is all about. But: http://freepages.history.rootsweb.com/~cchouk/oregon_trail/index1.htm is where the goodies are. This page does NOT have a hit counter because every time I edit a page with a hit counter it gets corupted. So bookmark the page of your choice, or keep the hit counter honest. If you really want to go right to the SURNAME index, go to: http://freepages.history.rootsweb.com/~cchouk/oregon_trail/index1.htm#Surena mes Thanks to all who have sent e-mail about my project; one way or another. To those who "unscribed"... I sure hope the door didn't hit you in the a**! Good for you. About time someone read out the whiners . I run a family webpage at http://www.hctc.com/~hamkarr/index.htm when I'm not doing something more important like working on my old sailboat or fixing the community swimming pool. and at times the whines become downright rediculus. These clowns don't seem to realize that spamers cruise the news groupes and glom every address in sight. James: You have made a tragic error! You have defended me on a public list. And you had the gall to sign your name! How dare you risk your access to this vast resource?!! I've been 86'd by the list "Dad" of OREGON-L because I offered a solution to a problem about chopped URLs when people tried to send folk to places to get good information. How come HE didn't do that??? It's HIS list, and now HE can have it! The MY OREGON TRAIL FAMILIES web page will not be updated again until I have some important software installed on this new computer. Cute FTP is one of them. I do have many changes to make, and they include a new FORD line (John Fulton FORD), who crossed the OT with Nineveh Ford in 1843. I'm still trying to connect Nineveh to other FORDs who were in NC or MO in the 1800's, but so far no cigar. So... Be very careful whom you support. Thopse of you who do not wish to see my e-mail; put my addy in your "twit list". To find out how to do this contact the "list Dad" at [email protected] , He's the expert!
