    2. . Nov 1866 My DAWSON dead end is as follows: Thomas DAWSON (dates u/k) m. Hannah Isabel (maiden name u/k possibly SCHUYLER). Hannah was born about 1842 (maybe in NY) and died in August 1901 in Bellingham, Whatcom Co., Washington. She is buried in Bay View Cemetery. I cannot find a grave for Thomas in Whatcom County. The DAWSONs started out back East and were in W. Branch, Cedar Co, Iowa in Nov 1866 when their daughter Arminta Mary DAWSON was born. In 1869 they were in another county in Iowa, or in Nebraska when their daughter Viola Mae DAWSON was born. and in 1874 they were in Jones Co., Iowa when their son Thomas Schuyler DAWSON was born. According to Thomas S. DAWSON`s obituary, between Iowa and Bellingham, Washington, the family also stopped for a short time in San Francisco, California about 1886. By 1889 the DAWSON family was settled in Whatcom County, Washington. Arminta Mary DAWSON married Henry Robinson WATSON in 1891 in Bellingham. Henry ran the Old Whatcom Transfer and was born in County Durham, England. Mary died in 1938, Henry in 1942, both are buried in Bay View Cemetery in Bellingham. They had four children who lived to be adults, Mary Inez WATSON BELL, Arthur Schuyler WATSON, Clara Isabel WATSON JOHNSON and Henry Edmund "Ebbie" WATSON. Arthur and Ebbie died in Seattle, Washington. Viola Mae DAWSON married William H. BURGESS and lived in Bellingham. The children living at the time William died were: Lucille BURGESS ANDREEN, Thelma BURGESS DEETER, and Clarence BURGESS. Thomas Schuyler DAWSON married first to Ella PARKER in 1895. She died in 1898. He remarried in 1900 to Etta DOWNS. They settled in Okanogan County, Washington. He was a pioneer grocer and orchardist in that area. He died in 1939 in Wenatchee at the home of one of his daughters who had married John WILKINSON. He also had a son named George B. DAWSON who was living in San Francisco when Thomas died, and a daughter named Geraldine B. DAWSON who married a man named CARLSON. If anyone recognizes this family, I'd love to hear from them!
