    3. Yes, Touchet is near Walla Walla, about 15 minutes away if memory serves me. Back in the '50s it had a postoffice and I think a store, but the last time I went through I only noticed a service station that also sold groceries. And the guy in the service station knew who we were coming to visit and who we were....a very friendly community, but I wouldn't really call it a town. (hope none of my family are on the list) The area is currently all alfalfa ranchers. I noticed that in the 1910 census that there were quite a few back then too. Many of my relatives (Wagoner and McDonald) lived and still live there, but I've noticed that when they die, they are buried in Walla Walla cemeteries. Touchet may not have it's own cemetery.
