    3. The only STATE prison in Washington that would have existed then is the Washington State Penitentiary at Walla Walla. It's also possible he could have served time at the FEDERAL facility: McNeil Island Penitentiary. As to obtaining records from either, I'd suggest writing to the Archives for each institution. You should be able to find addresses on the Web.
