Hi Judy I'm just speculating here on what you have done and not done to find out your bride's name, since you only have the groom's name. First try searching Vital Records, here is the address for obtaining certified copies of marriage records. King County Marriage Records King Co. Administration Bldg., Rm. 311 500 4th Avenue Seattle, WA 98104 Make a check payable to King County Records for $3.00 and include both parties names. I know that you have said you only know the groom's name, so maybe call them and they could suggest something to you. Next maybe try to locate a newspaper from that time through the FHC (Family History Center) or through your local library. If you are not familiar with FHC just email me back and I'll try to explain things a bit more. What about church records... do you possibly know where the bride and groom lived or relatives that are still alive that could tell you the name of the church they married in? If all else fails try searching cemetery records (if the parties are no longer alive) death certificates should tell the spouses name. Also land and property records, military records, or probate records could be a link to find out his wife's name. Hope some of those suggestions help. Take care.
