    3. In abt 1907 to abt 19010 thereabouts, My Granmother died leaving 7 ch. Granpa. had put them in a home in Winlock, lewis Co.Wa. wxcept for the 2 girls. Saddie b in 1899, abt 6 and Hazel abt 12. They went to the St Mary's convent in Toledo in country as the church there also has a cem. One of the Nuns spanked the little one, Saddie and my Aunt Hazel abt 12.yrs. lit into her and several other's and beat them up some for them spanking Sadie. They then sent both to Seattle. I was told that where they went had sometime later that the Convent and home for homeless ch. had burned down. I was going to try to get info from the records but that is what I was told. Unkown the name of it but was going in abt 1910 +and - as they ere there for abt 4 to 5 yrs. I think. My Aunt Hazel told me this herself. Hazel was red headed and somewhat stern and hot headed as I remember her. She didn't believe in spanking eitheras her mother never spanked them.
