Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CCC.2ACE/2997.1 Message Board Post: I don't know if you have the image of the 1930 census as identified; but Richard J. Rockwell was with the family. He was 82 and widowed, born in Ohio to Ohio parents. Marjorie G was 5, Gretchen M was 8, Nellie M was 37 (1893) born in Minnesota to a father from Ohio and mother from Wisconsin. David was 42 (1888), born to a father born in Ohio and mother born in Illinois. Nothing on them in the WA Death Index. Social Security Death Index has a Daniel Rockwell, SSN 531-24-8581, born 9 Mar 1888, died Oct 1962. SSN issued in Washington, last residence in Washington (however, this might only be where the death payment was sent and he could have been living elsewhere). SSDI has a Nellie Rockwell, SSN 531-44-5457, born 6/2/1988, died July 1981, last residence in Sunnyside, WA. The birthdate year would not be correct IF the census information is correct. However, the SSDI has a history of inaccuries also. The only way to confirm is to obtain the records from the Social Security Administration, or obtain a death certificate, or an obituary. Also note: there are three Sunnyside's in WA, one in Whatcom Co, one in Yakima and one in Clark. I checked online county recorder documents for Clark, with no findings. Those records went back as far as 1979. Yakima and Whatcom County Recorder documents were not online.
