    3. Karen, I attended J.R Rogers H.S. in Spokane circa 1957. I remember there were some students at Rogers named Halverson. I can't recall if I knew any of them very well.. A check of the Spokane Polk directories from that era should yield their names and addresses. The Spokane County Public Library has a near complete set of city directories. That library also has a few Rogers H.S. annuals, including 1957. Larry Gerhardstein Kennewick Washington Larry@3-cities.com

    3. I am looking for a marriage record of Ezra Sturgis and Alice Amy Cartwright, she may be listed as Amy Cartwright, they were married in 1901, possibly in the Puget Sound or Markham area. Can anyone tell me how to find these or is their someone who does lookups? Also in the Aberdeen area, does anyone know of a Mom/Pop grocery store owned/operated by David/Doris Sturgis, possibly in the late 40's, early 50's, I'm trying to locate David Sturgis obit and maybe children. I think there were two, Robert and Diane, both adopted. Are there any birth records, other than birth cert. for 1906-1909, Markham, Grays Harbor co. I tried to get birth cert. none available for that time and they were home births. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance, Jeanne in CA

    2. Ruby DePonty was born abt Nov 1923, Spokane, Spokane Co., WA. She has a sister named Betty June DePonty, born May 14, 1922, Spokane, Spokane Co., WA. Their natural parents were John P. DePonty and Lillian Jackson. John was born in Wi or MN, and Lillian was born in Kendrick ID. (Lillian stated she was 19 on Betty June's birth certificate.) Abt 1924, John and Lillian, for unknown reasons, had to give their two little girls up for adoption. Betty June was adopted by Fred and Luella Halverson and her name was changed to Dorothy June Halverson. Ruby was adopted by Mr. & Mrs. Martin Knight and her name was changed to Doris Knight. Both girls and their adopted families lived in Spokane, WA. I'm trying to locate: 1) Lillian Jackson's family. It's possible she may have married a Mr. Parker, but I have no proof. 2) The Martin Knight family. In order to find out where Ruby/Doris may be today. 3) Anybody related to Fred & Luella Halverson. I don't know when Fred died. Luella died about 1961 in Spokane, WA. Thanks, Karen Foster Montgomery Sugar Land, TX
