    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Pool or Poole Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CCC.2ACE/2365 Message Board Post: In the 1920 Census George Pool was 48 and residing with his son and daughter in Rainier, Thurston, Washington. In a Yelm City Directory I have found him as, finally a physician with a Mable as pharmacist in 1930. My step father, Louis Pool always contended that he had been adopted by George, in St Louis, MO, in or about 1912. There was also an Edna on the Census as paret of the family. Louis was born in 1904 and Edna was 4 years younger. There exists a George Pool as having passed away in 1939 on the lists of deaths in WA. I believe my step dad said that his father had perished in Seattle, but am not positive. Have anyone come across him in their research. Or Edna, who I believe died in 1934.

    2. Cecil Houk
    3. I'm sorry. I forgot to include this Beth, and I demand that you swing your weight to get me black listed from all RootsWeb.Com web sites except WorldConnect Project. Please make darn sure that I will never be able to access any list to say anything about anything. No matter what! I am subject to your rules. GOD save the Queen. Amen. (Where's the ACLU when you need them) >>Cecil, No matter how much information you have or how many web pages you have or how many people you're related to, even you are subject to the same rules as all posters. If you're posting to a RootsWeb list, the rule is: No Off-topic Posts. While some admins are more willing to allow them than others, the RootsWeb admins who've 86ed you had every right to do so. When you got caught breaking the rules and appropriate action was taken, you then became rude and disrespectful -- in messages posted on the lists -- to those who enforced the rules. They certainly do not deserve that kind of treatment. I don't know what joy you take in tearing apart lists, but I've watched you do it for many years now, and it's wearying. No, I'm not going to unsubscribe from lists that provide a wealth of information just because you're posting there -- plus occasionally you post something relevant to my research. But I will always wonder what sets you so much above everyone else that you feel entitled to break all the rules and not be held accountable. 3. I'm sorry this did not get past the mail guard the first time. Beth: Now that you have aired this "dirty laundry" to the world with your cc's.... May I add: QUOTE THIS IS NOT A COMPUTER LIST I have ask many times to stop this ranting. This is the SAME thing I told you to do , change your plain text settings you WILL moderated on the very next message to the list that is not Oregon History, I am tired of all the complaints I am getting and have on several occasions been ask to remove you. 3 people have already left. stop = now = this is not your call on MY list. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< last chance OREGON-adim UNQUOTE And 5 milliseconds later I was unscribed from OREGON-L. Too bad Dan took his marbles and went home. You have failed to recognize that unless people have been made aware of some defaults in OE, that when people try to pass on to others a URL such as: http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=cchouk&id=I00002 (which happens to be my father's entry in my GEDCOM) it ends up as: http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=cchouk& id=I00002 or http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=cchouk& id=I00002 after going through a *.rootsweb.com list. No big deal. So what if the URL doesn't work because it's fragmented. I offered the directions to fix this and I have been 86'd because I DID IT! The bottom line is that I have found that I have 70MB of web space through my ISP, and will be moving my web pages there in the weeks to come. I will monitor *.rootweb.com mailing lists, but will not be active on them. I will not (and do not) dis rootsweb.com; but I will not be a party to this garbage. I will not remove my GEDCOM from WorldConnect Project because I think THAT would be stupid - indeed. But, I do not have to tolerate "narrow minded" nazi's on the mailing lists. The ball is in your court Beth. I'm sure you can get RootsWeb to dump me within the hour. But be advised that I'll be at: http://members.cox.net/cchouk/ in the next half hour! All of those files that I've been working on for the past several years have been burned onto CD-ROMs. As soon as I get Cute FTP re-installed on this computer... they will be out of your control! Now. See what you have started?
