The name was sent to the WA. St. Cemetery Assoc. by the Pierce Co. Assesor's office, but gave no other info. This book lists all info of the cemeteries in Wa. St. and where the records are kept. It seems to me, if the Pierce Co. Assesors office knows the name, they should have info on where it was, but the Interment Association could not get any further info from the Assesor's office. When did the burial take place that you are looking for? I will be going to the Genealogy library next week, and could look up on an old map. Interment assoc. did also, and couldn't find it, but maybe, just maybe, I might be able to find "the" map that shows it. Good Luck Lori

The funeral home is the only listed in Cashmere for 150 years, and they could have info on where they were buried, and possibly an obituary. Good Luck Lori

THanks to all who answered my question about the county code 522. I did not know I could get the death certificate from the LDS folks, so I will be doing this. And when I get it I will let you know where 522 is located! This family had lived in Clark County in the 1920 and 1930 census. Her husband died in 1940 in Oregon. SO I really have no clue as to where she was in 1952 when she died - except WA has her record! THanks again for all the help! Lucy

There is a list of codes associated with the Washington Death Index, which indicates deaths that occurred outside Washington State, but included in the State Death Index. This list does not show any "500" code numbers. All the States in the U.S. are coded with "800" numbers. I found a death with a code of 838, which was Oregon. This list also has a short list of other country codes, which are all "900" numbers. 971 Guam 972 Puerto Rico 973 Virgin Islands 981 Canada 982 Cuba 983 Mexico 989 Other Foreign 999 Unknown/Not Stated If there is another list showing "500" codes, if would be helpful to have it available.
