    1. Re: [WASHINGTON-L] Re: DeCamp
    2. Hello, I thought you might like to know there was a Sarah DE CAMP that married a Charles DERRY, lived in Tarkio, Atchison County, Missouri, they had a child in 1889. This record can be found in the Missouri State Archives. My family is a DERRY, do not know if this Charles DERRY was related however. The reason I mention this, is because Atchison County MO borders IOWA,I believe Fremont County..don't know if your DE CAMPS were anywhere near or related by any means, but thought I would mention this. Sincerely, Darleen WIGGINS Portland, Oregon

EW settled in Dallas Co. Iowa, had a daughter named Emily, she died at age 10 yrs. You can find alot of information on this line of Decamps in this program. Several years ago a Robert DeCamp did major research on EW DeCamp line back to Holland, figured they were actual French and had been forced out of France. Robert has since died, his sister was Rosemary DeCamp the actress early 60's. EW's had 12 children 10 by first wife Anna Eliza Howe and 2 with Lib Bosler. some of the family stayed in Iowa and some move to Kansas to an orchard business and then west from there. I am Suzanne DeCamp, EW was my ggreatgrandfather. He is buried in the Panther Creek Cem. Dallas Co IA. My greatgrandfather Lafe and his brother Charles stayed in Dallas Co. to raise their families. hope this helps.

    1. [WASHINGTON-L] Looking for any info on this family
    2. This info comes from the 1880 US Census; 1.Gotleib Schmidt age 36, b.WI, parents b.Germany ************************************ 2.Mary Schmidt age 29, b.WI, parents b.Germany ********************* 3.Frank Schmidt age 13, b.WI ********************* 4.Mary Schmidt age 10, b.MN ****************** 5.Edward Schmidt age 9, b.MN ************* 6.Tilda Schmidt age 6, b.MN *********************** 7.William Schmidt age 4, b.MN **************** 8.Clara Schmidt age 2, b.MN ******************* 9.Pauly Schmidt age 1m, b.MN ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mother Mary died shortly after this census. Frank married a girl from Grantsburg, WI and moved to Oregon. Edward and William later followed him out there and lived in Washington and Oregon. Edward married and had a daughter, but he died quite young. William lived around Walla Walla, Washington and spent time in Alaska. I don`t think William ever married. Mary went by the name May. May married Louis Roberts. May and Louis/Lewis lived in St. Paul Park, MN where they had four boys and a girl (names unknown). Tilda went by Tillie. Tillie married Benard Rohr(not sure of spelling). Tillie stayed in Minneapolis and had at least one daughter(Bernetta). Clara Married Joseph Andrew McLane, they lived there lives in the Twin Cities, MN. Clara and Joseph`s children are Lester Roy, Mildred Arlene, Lucille Helen, Joseph Edward, and Shyrle Emily(died as infant). Gotleib supposedly married again after Mary died and had a farm near Grantsburg, WI. Looking for any information on these families. Thanks
