I have traced my ancestors back to Worchester Co., England. John (?) Washburn born 1597 married Margery (?)Moore, born 1586. Margery and her two sons, John and Philip came over on the ship "Elizabeth and Ann" from London in 1635. He came to Duxbury, Mass. in 1631 from Evasham, England. They moved to Bridgewater, Mass. in 1665. Son, John Washburn, married Elizabeth Mitchell in 1645. They had a son, Samuel Washburn b. 1651, From there, the line stayed in Mass. until 1793, when Noah Washburn was born in Hartford, Conn. I have a copy of a patent obtained by Charles Fredrick Washburn in 1906 for a "typewriter attachment". I also have various picture and newpaper clipping copies from that same era. If anyone has reasearched this line and would like to share, I love to hear from you. Also, if anyone has info on history of line beyond John Washburn b. 1597 in Worchester CO,. England. I am missing a lot of info such as date of births, deaths and marriages during this time frame. Thanks to everyone! Lisa (Washburn) Miller
