Hi Marilyn, what a wonderful surprise..your message about the Washburns in Eng. is exactly what I was looking for. I have a couple of maps loaned from a fellow member of our local genealogy group..Found Evesham but not Bengeworth on it. The tests were okay so we're going..we are using railpasses as opposed to driving. Would like the benefits of a car but my husband is older and doesn't want the worry about it. He has been in England several times while in military service and since but this is my first trip there...we always have gone to the contintent but since I now know quite a few family lines I want to see the towns and villages..Would we be able to get to Bengeworth via bus from Evesham..also wondering where is "Little Wash- bourne? My line comes from John bp Bengeworth, Evesham Worches. 2 July 1597.. Does this make a a Bengeworth Washburne? How are they connected to Little Washbournes?. So many people have asked if I'm going to do research there...you are the first to feel like I do..I just simply want to find the towns and villages and walk the streets and paths..see the churches and cemeteries and try to recapture what my ancestors might have seen, thought..etc...I guess I'm trying to reach out and make some kind of contact with them in some way..sounds silly when you put it down to read...I will try to find the books you have mentioned but not sure I'll be able to before leaving. We are going to over to our condo in California, thursday to take care of some things and I'll visit my daughters in San Francisco..be gone till about August 15...then back and leave for England Sept 9. I have copied your message but if you have any other thoughts, suggestions etc..would love to hear from you. I was getting concerned that I wouldn't be able to find these little spots from our past but after hearing from you...think it might happen yet...thanks again. Joyce Weeks Howard..Sun Lakes, Az.
