This is my first query on this list and I have enjoyed the wealth of info shared. I still have questions on my Washburne ancestors that I have been trying to answer. I've taken loans from the NEHGL and just bought the two volumes of Washburn books and the answers still elude me. I'm hoping someone on this list can help me: Problem #1: I have a the following on my Sarah: ____ Jeremiah WILLIAMS __ Richard WILLIAMS l of New York l l b.p. Near Boston l l m. 1708 l _William WASHBURNE l m.p. Westbury, L.I. l___Sarah WASHBURNE l b. 1601 Bengeworth l bap. 26Mar1626 Bengeworth l d. 30 Oct 1657 Hempstead l d. 1693/95 Jericho, L.I. l__ Joan Nichols Hannah WILLIAMS--l l___ Philadelphia MASTERS b. 1684 My problem with these relationships is that there is a generation missing between Sarah and Jeremiah. Sarah would have been in her late 50's or early 60's when Jeremiah was born. It just doesn't fit. Problem #2: I have: "Bristol" Richard WILLETS m. 1650 ____ William WASHBURNE Mary Washburne----------- l b. 1629 l____ ???? d. 17, 12, 1713 Edmund TITUS m. ___ William WASHBURNE Martha WASHBURNE -------l l____Joan NICHOLS Robert JACKSON b. 1620 Scrooby, Eng. ___William WASHBURNE m. l Agnus WASHBURNE l___ Joan NICHOLS The way these charts look, Agnus, Martha, Sarah, and possibly Mary were all daughters of William and Joan. Yet, it has been difficult to document these relationships throughout all of my sources. Something seems wrong. Can anyone provide some insight that will help me clarify these relationships and correct any problems. Your patience and assistance is greatly appreciated. Sue TITUS-MICKLEY
