Hi Cousins, I posted these to the Family_Bibles list a few weeks ago and thought perhaps they might be of interest to some of you as well. This Bible belonged to my 4ggrf and is in the possession of the family. It relates to a line of Washburns descending from William of Long Island, John, John, John, and now Isaac of Westchester Co., NY It was published in England in 1753 and the information was apparently in Isaac's own hand as he speaks in the first person. Later entries are in other hands, perhaps at the time of the events. The Bible is in poor condition, being obviously well-used. WASHBOURN-WASHBURN-WORSHBOURN BIBLE _(illegible)_ of Isaac Washbourn and his wife Mehetebel, their issue male and female. I was Born my the 26th Day of December - 1721 my Wife as above I suppofe was Born in the year 1715 Our Daughter Hannah was Born the 5th of November 1740 Our Daughter martha was Born 16th of October - 1742 Our Daughter mary was Born the 24th of December 1744 Our Daughter Charrity was Born the 11th day of may - 1747 Our Daughter Libbe was Born the first Day of october - 1750 Our Son Isaac was Born the 7th day of april - 1752 Our Son Jacob was Born and Diseased the 17th of November -1762 our Son zephaniah was Bornyd 10th Day of october - 1759 my Wife Diseased the laft Day of february - 1760 (I note Jacob's date of 1762 is as stated but obviously incorrect. Some of his children went to MI. This Bible is that of my 2ggrfather, youngest child of Isaac Washburn, Jr. as listed in the Washburn Bible posted above. He lived in Gorham Twp., Ontario Co., NY in a community known as Crystal Beach along the east side of Canandaigua Lake. Fisher were children of Christian and Candace (Case) Fisher from Rensselaer Co. All families later of Ontario Co.)
