There were lots more Washburns, who might have had a Franklin in the IL census, but the one above was the only one indexed......the AR census included both a FRANKLIN Twp. and a WASHBURN Twp., so you can imagine what a search of that turned up! <sigh> Do any of the above names ring a bell??
