I've seen both of the references that you give, the birth record and the marriage record. But how has it been proven that the Luther Washburn in the birth record is the same "Luther" who married Thankful Geer? Couldn't he have as well been the Luther Washburn who married 1 July 1779 at Ashfield, MA to Sarah Spinning? Did you find Probate records? Wills? Deeds? Whatever you have would certainly be a significant find if it's true. Would you mind sharing it with us?
