It appears a number of subscribers are interested in Washburns from Washington Co., NY. An abstract of the 1825 New York State Census for Washington County was printed in the December 1998 issue of "Tree Talks" magazine, a copy of which I have obtained. The following Washburns were living in Washington County in 1825: Cambridge: Marvel Wasburn 1 male 1 female Easton: Isaac Washburn 1 male 2 females Fort Ann: Ephraim Washburn 5 males 4 females Greenwich: Samuel Washburn 3 males 6 females Hartford: Thomas Washbern 1 male 2 females Jackson: John Wasburn 1 male 1 female Kingsbury: Luther Washburn 5 males 2 females Putnam: Phillip Washburn 2 males 1 female There are other columns in the 1825 state census for headings like number of males between 18 and 45 subject to military duty, number of males qualified to vote, number of married females under the age of 45, number of unmarried females between the ages of 16 and 45, number of male and female births in the family during the preceeding year, number of male and female deaths in the family during the preceeding year, etc. Email me back privately if you're interested in any of the above Washburns, and I'll send you the family with all the columns.
