Hi all, My gg grandfather was James A. Washburn born in Ellisburg, NY in 1827. His parents were Bethuel Washburn and Eunice Gifford. Both of James' parents died when James was a small boy. The next I can pick James up is 1857 when he married Catherine Davis in Portland Township, WI. From an account written by a great aunt (James' granddaughter) he came to Wisconsin with his brothers at some time. Is anyone else out there descended from this family? I'd like to find out what happened to James between when his parents died in 1832 and when he showed up for his wedding in 1857. Thanks for the help. Marc Chambers Virginia Beach, VA
