    2. Susan: Your posting was very interesting to me. I had been looking for info for Elisha Washburn, Sr & Jr. What I have agrees with your findings, but you have more details. Thank you. Do you have any information on Joseph Washburn the son of Elisha, Jr & Hannah Clark Washburn? He was my G-Great grandfather and I am trying to prove the link back to Elisha, Sr who served in the Revolutionary War. ( I have copies of the Massachusetts Soldiers and Sailors records for him, too). The following is what I have for Joseph Washburn: Child of Elisha Washburn and Hannah Clark is: Joseph Washburn, b. December 01, 1809, Moretown Twp, Washington, Vermont He married Sarah Austice, She was born 1816 in New York. 1837 One of their children, William E. Washburn b.May 14, 1837 Yates Orleans Co.NY. d. February 4,1925 Onondaga, MI. was my Great Grandfather. His Death Certificate lists Joseph & Sarah Washburn as his parents. 1850 Fed Census for Michigan (Wayne Co.), lists Joseph & Sarah & 4 children. 1860 Fed Census for Michigan(Calhoun Co. Marengo Twp.) lists Joseph & Sarah and their 3 children. (By this time William had married and left home) This 1860 is the last clue I have as to his residence. Presume he died in Michigan, but don't know where or when) Will appreciate any help. Hope this is not too confusing or complicated. June W. Wilkinson
