Dear Cousins~ This is to let the WILLIAM WASHBURN [immigrant] descendants know that there is conclusive evidence of old William's wife. I will be glad to share the information with those who missed out in receiving the information. Barb Nichols has done considerable research in reading the Sedgeberrow Parish records which provides baptism, marriage and death records for the Nichols of that parish. Even though the marriage record is missing (there are missing years in the parish record), she gathered information on Francis Nichols, his marriage to Francis Wimarke and the baptisms of his several children including Isaac, John and Jane. She has shared her information going several generations back from Francis Nichols and I will be happy share that information with any who request. Barb has also done research in depth on two Francis Nichols and has an article in TAG that Francis Nichols [and wife, Margaret Bruce] are not the parents of Isaac, John and Jane, but the brother of Colonel Richard Nichols, Deputy Govenor of N.Y. "Our Francis Nichols" and wife, Francis came from Sedgeberrow, which is four miles from Evesham in Worchester. We are grateful to John Maltby who first alerted us to Barb's findings. Marilyn W.
