    3. Robert, What is the source of your information that Rebecca Thurston was the mother of Sarah Richmond, the wife of Josiah Washburn and Samuel Crane? From her age at death, it appears that Sarah Richmond was born about 1701. (She died in Bridgewater on 9 June 1787, aged 86 years, according to the Bridgewater vital records,) and she had a sister Mercy who was even older than her, born about 1694. (She died in Taunton on 27 Jan. 1760 in her 67th year.) The will of Edward Richmond, of Taunton, dated 3 June 1738 and probated on 9 Dec. 1741 named his wife Mary, and daughters Mercy Walker and Sarah Crane, among others. (Bristol County Probate 10:111.) I think that the Edward Richmond who married Rebecca Thurston at Little Compton, MA, in 1711 was a different Edward Richmond. John A.
