Lyn, You might want to check "The Richard Washburn Family Genealogy" published 1927 by Ada Haight. This could be the ancestor of the Abijah Washburn you are looking for. This Richard Washburn was a son of John and Hannah Hallett/Thorneycraft and was brother to my Joseph. Richard names a son, Joseph in his will - the will was probated 5 June 1786. The information goes no further in the book I have which follows Joseph on down. (It is unsure WHICH Hannah was Richard's mother). Marilyn W.
