I'm not a descendant of Isaiah Washburn and Patience Perkins, but I did some research on that line for an aquaintance here in California who descends from Susan Washburn and George Hibbard, her husband, of Hadley. She is a lady who lives in Palo Alto, CA, and I helped her find proof of the parents of Isaiah Washburn. Susan Washburn was apparently a sister of your Isaiah Washburn. It appears that the Isaiah Washburn who married Martha Hibbard was the son of Isaiah Washburn and Patience Perkins. Both Isaiahs were living next door to each other in Georgia, VT, in the 1810 and 1820 censuses, and Isaiah Washburn, Sr., was a Revolutionary War pensioner, his service having been from Ashfield, MA, where he served a number of enlistments from April, 1775, to Dec. 1777. Regarding your offer, yes, if you have more information on Isaiah and Martha I'd like to pass on what you've found to the lady in Palo Alto. She is elderly, and does not have a computer, so she has no access to email or the internet. In return, I'll forward to you the file I have on Isaiah Washburn, Sr., and his parents that I gave to the descendant in Palo Alto. The file is in Word, and is only 4 pages long, fully footnoted. First, do you know where and when Isaiah Washburn, husband of Martha, died? In 1836 Isaiah Washburn, Sr., in his pension file, indicated that he had gone to Hadley to live with his "only child," Susan Hibbard, so we assume that Isaiah, Jr., had already died by 1836. Second, do you have a list of the children of Isaiah Washburn and Martha Hibbard? The only one I know about was Elias Hibbard Washburn. There were several Washburns in Georgia, VT, at the time that both Isaiah Washburn Sr. and Jr. were living there, but I haven't been able to figure out the relationships yet.
