Hi all, I have been searching for the parents of a particularly elusive Washburn, his name is Elijah W. Washburn. I have recently recieved some info that suggests his mother may have been Salinda Wethy Washburn. Her father Elijah Wethy names her in his will as Salinda Washburn. In 1808 Elijah Wethy is found in Preston, CT deeding land to Elijah Washburn. The problem is we can't find a marriage record for Salinda. My elijah Washburn could be illegitamit ( spell check please ) but then Salinda's name would still be Wethy, wouldn't it? Can anyone shed some light on this problem for me? Please? Carla
