Hi everyone, I am looking for information on the ancestry of DANIEL WASHBURN born app 1750-60. He was in Rutland, Rutland Co Vermont app1775 and fought in the revolution from Rutland, then moved to Whiting Addison, Co Vermont in 1781, and died in Whiting in 1789. His wife was named Jerusha (possibly Foster,) and he had four children: Daniel Washburn Jr. b 1785, mar. Clarissa Allen, dau of Ezra Allen Jerusha Washburn b1779 mar Philander Adams Lucinda Washburn b1783 Betsey Washburn b1788 Daniel Washburn Jr. moved to MIDDLEBURY, VERMONT then about 1800 he moved to LOCKPORT, NY where he was a contrator on the Erie Canal, then to PENNSYLVANIA where he supposedly worked on a canal there. Some of his children stayed in Lockport, NY, and others moved to ADRIAN,LENAWEE CO, MICH. Two of the daughters of Daniel Sr. married boys named ADAMS, and at least one of them moved to Middlebury, Vermont.
