I am looking for info on MARY WASHBURN (BAXTER). She was born in 1767 in Hartford County, Conn. Her family was from Mass, it is possible she was born there and not Hartford. On 7/21/1787 she married Levi Baxter, son of Francis and Sarah Loomis Ellsworth Baxter. They were married in his hometown of East Windsor, Conn. After the war they moved to Delaware County, New York and eventually to Delhi in that county. Her children were Thomas 1808, William 1805, Edgar Frederick 1802, Charles Augustus 1799, John 1796, Nancy 1793, Henry 1790, Levi 1788. Mary died in Sidney Plains, NY on 1/7/1859. I have an article from the early 1900's that states that she is "kin to the Washburns of note in the political and commercial history of our nation. The name W.D. Wasburn, the founder of the largest flouring mill on record,...and is now known as the Pillsbury-Washburn Company Mill of Minneapolis." It does not however say what her relation is.
